On August 17, Jen Cardile, our temporary research assistant completed her summer internship after a very enjoyable and profitable 12-week stint with City Square. Any of our clients and suppliers who had the opportunity to work with Jen know how courteous and competent she is. Moreover, she enabled City Square to continue the gradual expansion of its client base and services. We wish Jen well at Stonehill College where she enters her junior year, changing majors--to marketing no less!
Meanwhile, City Square has created a permanent administrative/research assistant position that we hope to have filled by the end of September. The increasing volume of business coupled with a desire to serve our clients more effectively makes this a natural next step. We look forward to introducing our newest associate in the weeks to come.
This summer City Square Associates reaches two important milestones in its young history. First, City Square has formally filed for and received incorporation in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Though our legal name becomes "City Square Associates, Inc." our letterhead and other materials will continue to carry the City Square Associates brand mark. Second, as of July 1, City Square marks its first anniversary, having registered as a sole proprietorship in the City of Boston on this date last year. We are so grateful to our colleagues, clients, suppliers, and friends for the blessings of exciting work and prosperity!
Beginning May 29, Jennifer Cardile, a business and computer science major from Stonehill College joins City Square as a summer intern. Jennifer, who is an outstanding student and has worked for CIGNA in Hartford, CT, will be providing support in all phases of City Square's consulting practice. We are thrilled to have Jen with us and are confident that our clients and suppliers will enjoy working with her.
After an extensive search, we are delighted to announce that Steven Westort is joining the full-time staff of City Square Associates. Steven is coming to City Square from consulting firm of Universal Software Corporation where he was a Marketing Specialist. Prior to his work at Universal, Steven was a Residence Director at Northeastern University in Boston, where he distinguished himself as a skilled manager and an innovative leader. With a Master of Science in Education degree from Miami University in Ohio, Steven is trained in qualitative research methods and organizational behavior. In addition, he holds the Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart College in Geneva, NY, where he studied sociology and the humanities.
Steven joins City Square in the newly-created position of Research Assistant. In this role, Steven will have responsibility for data management, first-level analysis, client and vendor relations, as well as project coordination. In addition, Steven will share responsibility with the Principal of City Square for the day-to-day management and administration of the practice. We consider Steven a great "find" and hope you get to know him soon.
