Our Team

Vivian Harris (MA., University of Chicago) is adjunct Senior Research Consultant and Process Facilitator at City Square Associates Inc. She has 20 years of experience in tactical and strategic marketing research gained through her work in research and company leadership at three New England firms: City Square, The Taylor Research & Consulting Group, and TideWatch Partners. She led executive-level customer satisfaction measurement work for Verizon Communications for 15 years, moderated and interviewed across a wide array of segments and industries, and shaped operational and strategic direction within those firms, ultimately leaving at the Vice President level.

Clients or projects managed or fielded by Vivian as part of the CSA team have included: NBC Television, PBS, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Quokka Sports, USAchefs.com, Capital One Financial, Arnold Worldwide, and the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority. Other clients with whom she’s worked include Glaxo SmithKline, Bayer, Sanofi-Aventis, DirecTV, A&E, Verizon Communications, Puerto Rico Telephone, The Home Depot, Samsung, American Express Publishing, CNET, and T-Fal.

Vivian is known for her ability to connect deeply with respondents, to work effectively with all research stakeholders, to produce reporting that is thoughtful and actionable, and to do all this under the tight time constraints that define business today. Her research experience includes a variety of industries, with the deepest concentrations in the following categories:

Pharmaceuticals and healthcare, including such conditions as overactive bladder, diabetes, and weight management;
Personal finances, including credit cards and loan products;
Communications, entertainment, and broadcasting, including TV service bundling, program testing, marketing, and Web presence;
Magazines and other print publications.

In addition to all this, Vivian has had extensive management experience, most recently as TideWatch’s Director of Operations. There and at Taylor, she mentored junior staff members; developed guidelines for the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and evaluation of staff members at all levels; and led the development of a number of enrichment programs, including workshops on marketing, research methodology, leadership skills, and team-building.
